In December 2021 the Sihl Group announced the acquisition of Dietzgen Corporation®, a privately held company that provides distribution services for digital print media to the US market. This news should benefit U.S. buyers of wide-format inkjet media for technical drawings, signs, displays, photography, and art prints.
The Sihl Group, which operates internationally with locations in Switzerland, Germany, and the U.S., is a leading developer of premium coatings for materials used in inkjet printing, packaging, labels and tags, and commercial printing.
Dietzgen provides their partners with nationwide just-in-time delivery from an extensive inventory housed in six strategically located facilities. Dietzgen media brands include:
- Dietzgen® for the reprographic market,
- Magic® for sign and display production,
- Museo® – Fine Art, and
- Validation® – Premium Proofing.
Sihl executives regard the acquisition of Dietzgen as an important milestone in the strategic development of the Sihl company, especially in North America.
Sihl´s converting and distribution center serving the North and South American markets is Sihl Inc. in Fiskville, Rhode Island. Sihl Inc. provides products for market segments such as Signage and Photo, Labels and Tags and ARTYSIO flexible packaging.
